The Norton Manx is a British sports and racing motorcycle that was first presented to the public in 1946. Serial production started in the same year and continued until 1962. The weight of the vehicle was 140 kilograms. In the Manx 500 version, the drive was provided by a single 1-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 54 HP and a capacity of 499 cm3. The maximum speed of this version reached 230 km / h!
The Manx model was developed and manufactured by Norton Motors Limited. The first, non-series motorcycles with this name appeared before the outbreak of World War II, but only after its end, the production of this successful motorcycle was started. From the outset, the focus was on achieving the best possible performance - especially top speed. The aim was also to create a machine that would be able to win the Isle of Man TT race without major problems. The motorcycle more than lived up to the hopes placed on it, in the years 1950-1951 the Geoffrey Duke on it won the title of the World Champion on it.
