The Koolhoven FK51 is a Dutch single-engine multi-role biplane from the beginning of World War II. The flight of the FK51 prototype took place in May 1935, and the plane entered service in 1936. The plane was used by all types of the armed forces of the Netherlands, it also served in the Dutch East Indies. The plane was powered by many versions of engines produced by Armstrong, Pratt-Whitney and Wright. A total of 142 F.K51 machines were built, serving mainly as training and reconnaissance aircraft until the outbreak of World War II. 22 machines were sold secretly to Spain, to the Republican forces. The lion's share of FK51 was destroyed by the Luftwaffe in May 1940. Technical data: Maximum speed: 235 km / h, maximum ceiling 5600 m, maximum range: 730 km, armament: fixed - 2 7.9mm machine guns.
