The Type 82 NBC (Chemical Reconnaissance Vehicle) is a modern Japanese chemical and nuclear contamination reconnaissance vehicle. The first cars of this type entered service in the second half of the 1980s. The car is 5.72 meters long with a hull of 2.48 meters. The truck is powered by a single 10-cylinder engine with a maximum power of 305 HP. It is armed with a 12.7 mm machine gun. The manufacturer of the car was Mitsubishi Heavy Industries.

In total, two development versions were created - Type A and Type B. The first entered service in the second half of the 1980s, and the second - at the turn of the 20th and 21st centuries. Both differ only in electronic equipment and sensors. In total, about 50 cars of both versions were built.
