The Handley Page Heyford is a British mixed twin engine bomber. It was the last RAF biplane bomber. The flight of the prototype took place on June 12, 1930, and the serial production of this machine was carried out in the period 1933-1936. A total of 125 copies were produced. The plane did not take part in combat operations, and in the period 1939-1940 few of them were used as experimental machines using radar or training aircraft. By 1941, it had been completely withdrawn from the RAF status. The first Handley Page Heyford Mk.I machines used Rolls-Royce Kestrel III engines with 575KM each. Then the Mk.II and M.III versions were introduced, which also used Kestrel engines but newer versions (IV and VI) with 640 and 695HP.
