Roc Amador was a French offshore fishing trawler from the second half of the 20th century. The total length of the ship was 53 m, width 10.8 m, with the empty draft - 4.25 meters. The drive was provided by combustion engines with a total power of 2,000 HP. The full displacement of the unit is estimated at 800 tons. The Roc Amador trawler was built at the Ateliers et de Chantier de la Manche shipyard in Dieppe on the English Channel. The launch of the ship took place in 1973. Roc Amador was a seagoing trawler adapted to the use of modern fishing techniques, especially large fishing nets. Its main fishing area was the North Atlantic, especially the reservoir where the currents Golfsztrom, Greenland and Labradors meet each other, which makes this reservoir abundant in fish. It is worth adding that in 2001 the name of the vessel was changed to Bodasteinur.
